The Eastern Highlands Provincial Coordination and Monitoring Committee had its first meeting last week. 

The eight districts in Eastern Highlands Province yesterday received cheques of K1 million each from the provincial government to support the students attending tertiary institutions in Papua New Guinea. 

Six rural  networks in Eastern Highlands remote Okapa district were maintained with the funding  from district  development authority over the past four years.
